Dear Colleagues, Friends and Sponsors of the German Society of Urology,
It is my personal pleasure to invite you to the 62nd Congress of the German Society of Urology, which is to be held from September 22 – 25, 2010 in Düsseldorf.
The Theme of the Congress is “On-line Research and Implementation”.
This translational approach should demonstrate the newest aspects of basic-oriented and clinical research in the application on a patient. Our special attention will be applied to findings that currently will change or affect our diagnostics and therapy in the near future. These will be presented in special “State-of-the-Art Lectures” and “Keynotes”. Furthermore, a comprehensive, certified continuing education and training program will be offered, which I view as the central concern of our annual congress. Similar to the previous year, the Wednesday afternoon has been intended for free workshop forums. An accordingly interesting program is scheduled for the Saturday morning with multiple events. We will strive to present a balanced program covering the important and future topics of urology.
Düsseldorf is the capital city of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Furthermore, it is the city of art and fashion, and is very inviting through its exclusive shopping possibilities. The Old Town (Altstadt) of Düsseldorf is the internationally accepted location for vitality. We are also pleased to be able to incorporate the Rhine River as a lifeline of our Congress, as we will be holding the social evening onboard a large catamaran.
This very popular congress and exhibition city, offers its central trade fair and congress center with the best premises for our annual congress with the inclusion of an interesting industry exhibit. The fairgrounds can easily be reached through short routes. It can quickly be reached with the public transportation from the Düsseldorf city center and main railway station.
We would also like to point out the excellent parking possibilities and the short distance from the airport. The accompanying industry exhibit is an important component for a successful congress. “On-line Research and Implementation” will also be apparent here.
